Blue River – This
river is considered to be the cleanest river in the Philippines. The water here
has a unique blue color. Here you see the beauty and serenity of local village
and surrounding nature. For extreme lovers, pump up adrenaline as you jump from
a dive board or on top of big Banyan tree!
Native Bags Factory
– Just a few meters away from the Blue River is a factory where village women make
bags from leaves of the indigenous plant “Bariw”. Some bags were made from
“Abaca” – a high quality durable material from a plant which is usually used
for making ship ropes. These materials are eco-friendly and much cheaper than
those being sold in Boracay. You can also buy other souvenir items here such as
place mats, straw hats, wine bottle holders, picnic bags, purses, computer bags
and more.
Waterfalls –
You will arrive to a small village then trek to the forest passing through lush
green forest, rice fields, small creeks and rivers, pineapple plantation and
farmers huts. While on the trek, your guide will show you exotic plants endemic
in the Philippines like amazing weed “Mimosa” which moves and bends its leaves
once touched. On arrival in the village you will pass the jungle, rice paddies,
small rivers and pineapple plantation. The path leads to a beautiful waterfall.
In general, there are 7 beautiful waterfalls here which differ in heights and
depths. So far, foreign tourists were able to reach up to the third waterfalls
only because of the complexity and ruggedness of the upper falls. The first and
second waterfalls are best for swimming, especially for children, because the
water is not too deep. The third waterfall is for extreme travelers. Here you
will do rock climbing in order to reach the pool. Once you reached the top, you
will dive from a flat form into the water. The pool is deep and is the perfect
spot for great pictures.
Hot Pot Jacuzzi –
After the extreme adventure in the waterfalls, you will relax in a bubbling and
smoking warm bath in a big cauldron. What is most interesting here is that the
boiler is heated directly over an open fire! The water temperature is
constantly adjusted so that it is pleasantly warm. The personnel here are so
witty and accommodating that they will pose with pleasure with you for photo
shoot creating a scene that you are like sitting on a witches cauldron or you
are being cooked alive by cannibals – very cool and hilarious pictures to post
on your Facebook! . This bath procedure is believed to aid proper blood
circulation, ease pain and anxiety, helps cure inflammation of the joints and
detoxifies the body.
Fish Spa - This
is a unique foot spa which now gains popularity in the Philippines. Here, you
will dip your feet in a shallow pool filled with fish. These are not ordinary
type of fish, but a special variety which feeds on dead skin cells and
calluses. Pools have different categories from mild (small fishes) to extreme
(big fishes). You can’t help but burst into laughter as the fishes tickle your
feet during this spa procedure! After the spa, skin becomes soft, smooth and even-toned.
